A tour of buckingham palace includes a visit to the state rooms, entry to the special exhibiton, 'the Queens Year' and a visit to the palace gardens. The State Rooms of the Palace are open for visitors to visit throughout the ‘Annual Summer Opening’ in August and September. The rooms are lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection. This includes wonderful paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Vermeer, Poussin, Canaletto and Claude.
There are sculptures by Canova and Chantrey; exquisite examples of Sèvres porcelain, and some of the finest English and French furniture in the world.
Tours around Buckingham Palace can be combined with trips to The Queen's Gallery, which reopened in May 2002. The nearby Royal Mews is open throughout the year.
Entrance to the palace is by timed ticket with entry every 15 minutes throughout the day. Tickets are valid only on the date and at the entrance time specified on the ticket. Unfortunately, latecomers cannot be admitted.
Due to the architectural limitations of the building, it is not possible to admit wheelchair-users through the same entrance as the rest of the group. A separate entrance and special facilities are provided. If there is any wheelchair needs within your party you should inform the specialist sales team of your requirements.
