The Special Coronation Exhibition will allow you to see some of the magnificient outfits, jewellery and other items used in this years Coronation of King Chares the 3rd.

This summers exhibition enhances what has been a very historic year for the royal family. The special Coronation Exhibition will allow you to see some of the magnificient outfits, jewellery and other items used in this years Coronation of King Chares the 3rd.

Join us in the Ballroom and discover our extraordinary Coronation exhibit, showcasing the breathtaking ensembles, exquisite jewelry, and regal insignia donned during this momentous occasion. On display and worn by the King is the Robe of Estate, passed down from his grandfather, King George VI, for his own Coronation in 1937. Also on display is Queen Camillas Robe of Estate and stunning Coronation Dress.

The Coronation Necklace

An extraordinary masterpiece initially crafted for Queen Victoria in 1858. The Coronation Necklace has graced the necks of royalty at every Coronation since 1902, perpetuating its timeless splendor through the ages.


The Anointing Screen

This exquisite masterpiece served as a shield, veiling His Majesty from view during the profoundly sacred moment of the Coronation. Its remarkable centerpiece depicts a majestic tree embellished with 56 leaves, symbolizing the unity of the 56 member countries of the Commonwealth.


The Coronation Glove

A significant accessory used to cradle the Sovereign's Sceptre. This distinguished glove, graciously presented by the esteemed Worshipful Company of Glovers, stands as a testament to the rich heritage and tradition surrounding the Coronation.


The Throne Chairs

These regal seats, originally created for past Coronations, have been adorned with exquisite new embroidery by the skilled artisans of the Royal School of Needlework.


The Diamond Jubliee Coach

Don't miss the opportunity to witness the grandeur of the Diamond Jubilee State Coach in the Palace's State Entrance. This carriage carried King Charles and Queen Camilla to the hallowed grounds of Westminster Abbey for the Coronation. Marvel at the intricate craftsmanship, the gleaming diamonds, and the regal presence of this remarkable coach, which played a pivotal role in the historic Coronation procession.
