King Charles the 3rd

Charles became King Charles the 3rd on the 8th of September 2022 after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth the 2nd.

Charles Phillip Arthur George was born at Buckingham Palace on the 14th of November 1948. The King is the first born child of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Phillip and has 3 siblings, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.

The Kings Education started in 1956 at Hill House school in London. He went on to attend Cheam Preparatory school in Brekshire, Gordonstoun School near Elgin in Scotland and then Cambridge University.

Queen Elizabeth crowned Prince Charles the Prince of Wales at the Investiture at Caernarvon Castle on the 1st of July 1969. The Kings Military Career started in 1971, first training with the RAF at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire as a pilot and the starting his career in the Royal Navy. The King served on several ships including HMS Norfolk and HMS Hermes before taking command of HMS Bronington.


Charles & Diana

Charles married Diana Francis Spencer on the 29th of July 1981 and went on to have 2 children, both sons, William Arthur Philip Louis born on the 21st of June 1982 and Henry Charles Albert David (Harry) born on the 15th of September 1984. Charles and Diana separated in 1992, after the breakdown of their relationship became known to the public. They divorced in 1996.

In 1997 Diana died in a tragic car accident in Paris. Charles and Diana’s sisters, flew to Paris to bring Diana’s body back to England. Charles, Prince Philip, Princes William and Harry, and Diana’s brother Charles Spencer all walked behind the ‘Peoples Princess’ in the funeral procession


Charles & Camilla

Charles married again on the 8th of April 2005 to Camilla Parker Bowles, his best man was Prince William

They were married at a civil ceremony in the town of Windsor. The Queen did not attend the civil ceremony however did attend the reception and blessing at St Georges Chapel. Camilla was given the title ‘Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall’. This allowed Diana to be the only Princess of Wales.

Charles became King Charles the 3rd on the 8th of September 2022 after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth the 2nd. He will likely be coronated in 2023.
