On a crisp and sunny Christmas morning, King Charles III and Queen Camilla led the Royal Family in their beloved annual tradition: the walk from Sandringham House to St Mary Magdalene Church for the Christmas Day service on 25 December 2025.
The monarch, looking in good spirits amid his ongoing cancer treatment (which he recently announced will be reduced in the New Year), was joined by a host of family members for this cherished public appearance on his private Norfolk estate.

Prince & Princess of Wales
Prince William and Princess Catherine arrived with their three children – Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10), and Prince Louis (7) – who delighted onlookers with their confident interactions. The young royals chatted with well-wishers, accepted flowers, cards, toys, and even chocolates, shaking hands and posing for selfies along the way.
Princess Catherine, radiant after announcing her remission from cancer earlier this year, took time for heartfelt conversations with members of the public, clutching bouquets as she walked.
Other Family Members
Other attendees included the Princess Royal (Princess Anne) and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh (Prince Edward and Sophie), Zara and Mike Tindall with their children, Princess Beatrice with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Princess Eugenie with husband Jack Brooksbank. The Earl of Snowdon and his children were also spotted among the group.
Notably absent was Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew), who spent the day elsewhere as he prepares to relocate to a property on the Sandringham estate in the New Year.
Extended Walkabout
Hundreds of royal fans had queued from the early hours to catch a glimpse of the family, braving the winter chill for this highlight of the festive season. The atmosphere was one of warmth and celebration, with cheers and waves echoing along the short route.
Following the hour-long service, the royals paused for an extended walkabout, greeting supporters and spreading holiday cheer – a moment that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of togetherness emphasised in the King's poignant Christmas broadcast later that afternoon.
This year's gathering felt particularly uplifting, marking a positive close to a challenging period for the family with health updates bringing optimism for 2026.
